Chasing Ice is the critically-acclaimed documentary film that follows photographer James Balog on his journey to capture the effects of a changing climate on the world's glaciers. Using time-lapse cameras, his videos compress years into seconds and document ancient mountains of ice in motion as they disappear at a breathtaking rate.
In addition to focusing on the latest in Arctic climate science and policy, the panel discussion will highlight the importance of novel methods for communicating climate change and will include expert perspectives from a two-day sea ice restoration workshop hosted by the Columbia Climate Center at the Earth Institute, Columbia University.
This event is sponsored by the Columbia Climate Center and the Center for Research on Environmental Decisions.
